The books I have edited and produced have over 2.25 million copies in print. I have one New York Times bestseller under my belt and have worked at or with publishers such as Knopf, Vintage, Random House, Hachette, and Rodale.

On top of nitty-gritty, detail-oriented editing and feedback, I'm also able to manage and creative direct your project from start to finish. I'm well equipped to put together a crack team of designers, illustrators, writers, proofreaders, fact checkers, and printers to produce your books. I'll handle everything

From your first chapbook of poetry to big-budget illustrated and coffee-table books, I'll be there to keep things on track, and help you bring your dream to life.

A Critical Eye:

At every stage of a writer’s journey, it is vital that they have an experienced, dedicated, and passionate editor to give them honest and constructive feedback on their work, not just heap praise. Whether I’m editing your short-story or your trilogy, you can expect the following from all of my services (inquire for prices):

  • Thorough List of Notes: While I am reviewing your work, I keep a running list of questions, concerns, thoughts, and suggestions that come up. You will receive these notes via email, as well as any overarching notes and suggestions. The goal of these notes is to get your brain thinking in different ways, inform you of problem points in the narrative, and help you consider your goals and alternative ways of approaching them.

  • Line-Editing: I don’t cut corners, and I don’t go soft on my clients. You will see comments and tracked changes on every single page of your manuscript. I will give an extremely close read to your entire manuscript and make any number of changes ranging from syntax , word choice, and sentence structure, to typos, clarity concerns, verbosity, and redundancy.

  • Professional Goals: Whether you want to submit your work to a publisher, prepare a proposal for an agency, or self-publish your book, I will advise you on your next steps and help you achieve your goals.

  • Proposal/Synopsis Consult: If you have a proposal, chapter synopsis, or query letters you need assistance with, I will also provide feedback and coaching to craft a convincing query. My proposals have netted clients over $500,000 in advances.

If you’re looking for an honest and thorough partner in crime throughout the publishing process, I’m your guy.
I'm happy to edit a couple pages for a discounted price to show you the value I can bring your book.

Full Manuscript Edit:

This is the creme-de-la-creme of my services. I will nitpick your entire manuscript from start to finish to ensure a clean and engaging story that is true to your voice. I will give feedback and suggestion changes from the smallest detail to larger architecture. I’m able to do sample edits if you’d like to see the value I can bring your manuscript. Get in touch!

Reader’s Report:

This is the perfect service for someone who has already been through several rounds of edits and feedback but still suspects there is something missing. I will read your entire manuscript and supply to you detailed and comprehensive notes on problem points, confusions, contradictions, and any other details which stand out to me as limiting the work’s potential. In lieu of traditional line-editing, my feedback will take the form of a 5-10 page report including thoughts, suggestions, additional research, and any number of comments which will help you understand your priorities for finishing your manuscript.

Full-SUITE Publishing:

Full-suite publishing is largely for people who have a built-in community and need help producing a beautiful book and delivering it to fans. I specialize in highly-designed illustrated non-fiction books for business owners and social media celebrities who want to create marketing books documenting their method, expertise, or secrets.

Depending on your needs, I will oversee every step of the production process, including but not limited to outlining, writing, editing, proofreading, design, image licensing, cover design, printing, production, marketing, and publicity. After an initial phone call where we will discuss your needs and goals, I will put together a full budget and timeline so you understand every step of the process.
